(12/23/05) CAC January Invitational - Now Two Sessions

Due to the number of athletes participating in CAC's January Invitational on Saturday, January 7th, we will now be conducting two sessions.  Sessions will go as follows:

(12/23/05) USA Swimming - Zone Select Camps

Congratulations to Alex Norris!   Alex was selected to participate in the inaugural Central Zone Select Camp to be held June 8-11 in Bloomington, Indiana. The Central Zone Select Camp is sponsored by USA Swimming and is viewed as an integral step for athletes to move from the local and Zone level to the national swimming scene. A total of 28 male and 28 female athletes were selected from each of the four Zones for the regional camps. Congratulations Alex!

The USA Swimming Top 16 lists are official for the 2004-2005 swimming season and CAC is again represented.  Congratulations to these Seahawks for their outstanding performances!

We want to thank all parents, volunteers, and officials for helping to make the CAC Pentathlon a very successful meet. We especially appreciate those that worked both sessions on Sunday. (10/27/05) Daily Light Savings - Clocks change Saturday night

Please remember to change your clocks back on Saturday night.  "Fall Back"  Daylight Savings Time officially ends at 2:00AM Sunday, October 30th.  We don't want anyone showing up an hour early for the meet on Sunday.

Collection is underway for the children who have been affected by the recent natural disasters. Cincinnati Aquatic Club is donating basic need items to help others in need. Coaches will collect items before any practice time this week. Sunday October 30th, at the Pentathlon, will be the final day to make your contribution.

(10/14/05) We're Back Online

Early Thursday morning the CAC web server took a fatal hit.  Most of the site has now been restored.  Please be patient as all the kinks have not been discovered, or fixed.  Full and normal operation should be back within the next couple days.

(10/11/05) Hurricane Relief Fund - CAC joins with Marlins

This past weekend, the Cincinnati Marlins used their traditional intrasquad meet to help raise funds for the victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.  CAC joined with the Marlins in this effort by donating $250.00 of the proceeds from our Fall Sprint Challenge meet this past weekend. The Marlins have also taken in two athletes from the New Orleans area.

Kast-a-way Swimwear will be in the pool lobby Wednesday Sept. 28 and Thursday Sept. 29 from 4:30 to 7:30 PM for team suit and swim apparel purchases. You will pay Kast-a-way directly at the time of purchase (this does not go on your escrow account) please plan accordingly.

The Clippers have recommended that spectators come prepared to "camp out" using their own chairs, pop-ups, or tents.  There are 400 athletes registered to compete in the morning (prelim) sessions, and the seating will be especially tight during the morning events.  Click here for additional info.

(6/8/05) 10th Annual CAC Summer Classic - Friday Night Swims

ALL CAC Swimmers will swim on Friday night!!! 

Consistent with past years, the CAC Summer Classic is an extremely popular and competitive meet.  As the Meet Host, CAC will be adding special heats to accommodate ALL CAC Swimmers that sign-in to swim on Friday night.  This means that no CAC athlete has been or will be cut from an Event on Friday night.

Please remember, positive check-in is required for all athletes on Friday night.

The CAC get-together on Saturday night in Lexington will start at 6:15 p.m. in the conference room off the lobby of the Residence Inn South. The conference room will not hold the large number of revelers, so we expect to spill out into the breakfast area in the lobby. The Italian Buffet dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. Please remember to bring drinks for you and your kids. See you then!

Effective Monday, April 18th weekday practice times for A1 and above swimmers will be moved back by fifteen minutes.

The date has CHANGED for the 04-05 Short Course Awards Night.  Previously scheduled for Saturday, April 9, the new date is Sunday, April 10.  5:30-7:30 PM in the CCDS Upper Cafeteria.

Nick Thoman will be swimming in the NCAA Division I Championships for the University of Arizona.  Nick, a freshman at Arizona, has qualified in the 100 and 200 back.  Click here to review the psych sheet.  The Championships are at the University of Minnesota, March 24 to 26.  We'll have a meet link as the date gets closer.
