(4/21/2008) CAC Adds to Coaching Staff

Head Coach Benson Spurling is pleased to announce the hiring of two new coaches for the Senior/National group as well as the A-2 groups. Assistant Coach Liz Schoborg will be assisting Head Coach Benson Spurling in working with our Sr./Nat. practice groups as well as Coach Kevin with our T-2 group. Liz is a native of Cincinnati and an honored swimmer and school record holder at the University of Missouri. Assistant Coach Laura Koehne wil be assisting Coach Ben with the A-2 group. The CAC Seahawks will hold tryouts for the Summer Long Course Season. We welcome all swimmers interested in swimming with one of the premier competitive swimming organizations in Cincinnati. (4/7/2008) Seahawks Search for Additional Assistant Coaching Staff

In order to meet the needs of our expanding team we are searching for additional qualified coaching staff in both the Age Group (10 and under) and Senior/High School levels. Our team is proud of our program that offers superior training opportunities that range from the Novice to Olympic Trial levels. The program has enjoyed notable stability with our Head Coach entering his 19th consecutive year with the club and our Head Age Group Coach in his 12th year. (4/7/2008) Update on Head Age Group Coach Kevin Rachal

Head Age Group Coach Kevin Rachal had surgery on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at 8:00 am. He had the three screws taken out from this bike accident last summer. (3/19/2008) Seahawks Finish 3rd at 14 & Under Junior Olympic Meet

The CAC Seahawks took 3rd place this past weekend at the Ohio LSC 2008 Junior Olympic Championships. Results can be seen by clicking here. In addition the 13-14 Boys swam to a first place finish. Congrats Seahawks!

The Regional C Wednesday, March 12 is the pasta dinner for all swimmers going to the State and Sectional meets. We need food - pasta meals, salads, rolls, desserts and drinks. Dinner is from 6 - 7 PM, either right before or after practice depending on your practice time. All are welcome - come help send the swimmers off to their meets in style! (1/28/2008) Thank You to This Weekend's Volunteers

Thanks for everyone’s help this past weekend. We held another very successful home swim meet. We appreciate the extra efforts of those that helped to set up on Friday, those that worked extra sessions where they didn't have swimmers participating and a very big thank you to everyone who helped out with concessions and hospitality at the mid-winter meet including all shoppers, chefs, bakers, equipment lenders, early morning coffee makers, and workers. The trip from the House of Wu to Cracker Barrel was a great one! The food was greatly appreciated and received rave reviews.

(1/24/2008) CAC MidWinter Meet Parking Announcement

We are asking all teams to park in the South Parking Lot at Cincinnati Country Day on Friday night. The South Lot is directly off Given Road and adjacent to the main parking lot for the school. CCDS has a home basketball game Friday night and has asked that we keep the North Lot (adjacent to the pool) available for the visiting team. The North Lot is a short walk (which will be marked with signs) to the pool…about the same distance as the back part of the North Parking Lot. Please advise your parents they can drop their athletes off at the pool and then drive to the south lot to park. We will have “security” available to assist with parking.

(1/14/2008) Two CAC Swimmers Selected for Central Zone Camp

It was announced by USA Swimming that 6 Ohio Swimmers were selected to attend the Central Zone Select Camp. This is a highly selective camp for 12-13 year old girls and 13-14 year old boys that are either the top swimmer in their zone in their event or has one of the top 15 IMX scores in the zone. These 5 swimmers and their events were:

SCRIPS orders are due Friday, January 11. Please print your order and place it, along with your payment, in and envelope with your name on it in the SCRIPS folder. We will return your order to you in the same envelope. Orders should be ready by January 16 but this is dependant on when baby Wheeler decides to make her entrance into the world.

Many thanks to all of the parents and friends who answered the call for additional help at the CAC January Invitational. A large number of parents and older swimmers volunteered their time to help out as officials, timers, concession workers and Clerk of Course. (11/06/2007) Don't Miss the Team Dinner this weekend in Indy

For those of you traveling to Indy this weekend for the Riviera Meet we will have a team dinner Saturday, November 10th at 5:30 PM at the Holiday Inn Express (team hotel). Dinner will consist of a pasta entree, salad and breadsticks catered by the Olive Garden. Bring your own drinks and a dessert to share if you wish. Cost is $10 per person (all ages) and will be charged to your escrow account. This will cover dinner, gratuity and room rental cost. You will be notified of an exact cost once the total number of reservations is made. Don't miss out on the fun! Notify Holly Rice no later than Thursday morning by clicking here. She needs to know number attending and meal preference for each diner. Choose between Meat Lasagna, Spaghetti with Marinara, or Fettuccine Alfredo. Also, approx. number of breadsticks. Happy Halloween!! We are having a Trick or Treat party for the swimmers. On Monday, October 29 the Senior 1 and T-2 groups will celebrate at 5:45. The A-3s will have their party on Monday at 6:45. On Tuesday the Senior 2s will celebrate at 5:45, the A-2 group at 6:30 and T-1 at 7:00. If you are able to bring a treat or drinks for the kids please contact Julie Hefele by email. We would love to have a party for the A-1 group at Stepping Stones on Tuesday at 6:30. If a parent could organize this please contact Julie Hefele by email.

(10/7/07) CAC Fall Sprint Challenge in the Record Books

The CAC Fall Sprint Challenge is now in the history books. Seahawk swimmers logged many a LTB swim and meet records were smashed throughout the afternoon. Thanks to all of the volunteers who helped make this yet another successful CAC hosted meet. A special thanks to our Meet Director Mike Rice for yet another flawless meet! (10/4/07) Riviera Fall Classic Hotel Information

The team has reserved a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn Express Indianapolis City Centre located next to the New Lucas Oil Stadium. Reservations can be made online or via (800) Holiday, using group code CAC. Direct calls to the hotel (317) 822-6400 will need to reference the Cincinnati Aquatics Club block. Individuals are responsible for booking their own reservations prior to October 26, 2007. After which all unused rooms will be released from the block and put back into general hotel inventory. Rooms include free parking (one space per room) complementary breakfast, indoor pool and fitness room. The hotel website is www.hiexpress.com/indycitycentre .
