I. Schedule Changes and Announcements

Big training week and Fishers… keep up the great effort. Keep up the ear drops!!!
Seahawks take 3^rd in the Open water Championships. Great effort by all. Big thank you to all the parents and meet directors…Mike Rice, Chip Carrigan, Doug Dennis for making all of our CAC meets so outstanding.
No practice Wednesday, July 4^th, “Independence Day”.
Practice for all the swimmers who are not going to the Fisher Inv. Meet are as follows: Friday July 6^th 5:30-7:30 pm & Saturday July 7^th 10:30 am-7:30 pm
Sr Turpin practice: We can move up due to the team that was coming in before us has cancelled their time slot. Flex 4:15, water 4:30-6:30 and Run/Dryland 6:30-7:10 on the following days… Monday July 2^nd, Monday, July 9^th and Wednesday July 11^th (last day).
A-2 swimmers will have their Clermont Y practice on Thursday from 7:00-8:30 a.m. on July 5th due the 4^th of July being on Wednesday.
A-1 swimmers starting this Friday, June 29^th until the season ends may also come to practice with the A-2 group from 5:30-7:30. This is due to summer club meets on Thursday.
Championship Practice Schedules will be place in your folders early this week. The schedules will also be posted on the web site ASAP as well.
CAC TRYOUTS ANNOUNCED: July 31^ST , August 7^th and August 28^th all on Tuesday starting at 5:00 pm at CCDS. Please encourage your friends and summer club swimmers to call Head Coach Benson Spurling at 474-9461 for a Tryout appointment. GO HAWKS!!! CAC Summers swimmers are not required to try out.

II. Status Of Meet Entries

Fisher Summer Jam; Fisher (Indianapolis), IN; July 6-8, 2007: This meet is closed. Details will be available the week of the meet.

Ohio Age Group Regional Champs; Silverlake Rec Center, Northern KY; July 13-15, 2007: All Age Group swimmers who do not have their JO (AA) cuts are expected to attend this meet. More information will be available soon. Coaches will be selecting the swimmers events for this meet.

Ohio Junior Olympic (AA) Championships; Miami U; July 19-22, 2007: All Age Group swimmers who have JO cuts are expected to participate in this meet. Some swimmers without individual cuts will be swimming on relays. If you will not be able to attend this meet, please tell your coach ASAP! Coaches will be selecting events for this meet.

USA Sectional Champs; Miami U, Oxford, OH; July 23-26, 2007: Swimmers with Sectional times should plan to attend this meet. There may be swimmers qualified to swim on a relay who do not have individual times. Coach Benson will let you know who you are. Coaches will be selecting events for this meet. More information will be available soon.

III. Coaches Corner

Seahawks we are on a roll… great meet… fast swimming… good spirit. Now we get ready for open water, Fishers Inv. and A-G Regionals. Keep up the great work!!!

A-G Zones (Cleveland State)

Swimmers of the week and coaches note…A-1 and A-2 Devin Landstra … 100 % attendance, enthusiasm, attentive, great Friday night set. A-3 Drew Rice…Leader in main sets, pumped up team mates, showed toughness by swimming whole Open water race with broken goggles. T-1 Ben Gorman… Finished strong in Open water, 100% attendance, very strong practice week. T-2 Mack Rice …2^nd in open water as a 13 year old, 100 attendance, very strong week of practice. Sr Lisa Spurling …finished 4^th straight week of 100% attendance. Strong open water swim, Great Training week, positive attitude, equipment leader.
