I. Schedule Changes and Announcements
· Swimmers and parents, please review the website for practice changes.
· Mark this date: Reds game vs. L.A. Dodgers Thursday, June 14th @ 12:35 following Clermont YMCA L.C. and breakfast. Details to follow…
· Practice change: Starting this Friday, May 4th the Senior groups Friday practices will be moved from afternoon to the morning from 5:00-7:00 a.m. There will be no p.m. practice for the Sr. group.
· The Crosstown Splashdown will be swum this year as a 50 meters event and it is sanctioned by Ohio Swimming. This means the times will be officially recorded in the USA Swimming database. The CAC coaches will be selecting the events each athlete swims at the Crosstown Splashdown. Each athlete may swim up to 3 individual events, plus two relays. We are also swimming the 1500 and 400 Freestyle events - the coaches will also determine who will swim these events (these events are not subject to the 3 event rule). If you son or daughter has preferences, make sure they communicate with their respective coach. There will not be both 9-10 and 8&Under Events. Due to the number of 8& Under participants, we will be swimming only a 10&Under category.
· May escrow bills were generated May 7th and are due May 11th. The reason for the delay in billing was so that Wildcat meet entry charges could be entered against swimmers' accounts. If your per-swimmer escrow balance after Wildcat and stroke clinic charges (for participants who did not pay stroke clinic fees in advance) was $150 or more, you will not be billed for May. Because summer meets fill up so quickly, the team is sending in entry fees for most June and early July meets now. Therefore, you will need to make sure you have money in your escrow account to cover the cost of those entries at this time, even though the meets themselves aren't until June and July. If you have any questions about your escrow account, please contact Sharon Norris at 745-0884.
· Red/Black meet and overnight Friday and Saturday June 15th and 16th. Both T-2 and Sr. groups. (Tentative)
· Silicone caps with the CAC logo are available for $10.50, payable via your escrow account. If you would like a cap, please contact Sharon Norris at 745-0884.
· We will need lots of help at the Crosstown Splashdown. CAC is the host of the meet this year and we will be looking for volunteers to time, announce, help with security, etc. Please return your family’s Volunteer Form to the Rice Folder no later than Monday, May 14.
